The Vienna Institute of Demography (VID) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW) is delighted to announce its 2023 Winter School on Population Heterogeneities. It will be held in Vienna, Austria, on 4-5 December 2023 (in person).

Application Deadline:  30 June 2023 (midnight CEST)

The Winter School presents an opportunity for PhD students and PostDocs/Junior researchers to enhance their skills and expertise in identifying and critically analysing population heterogeneities in demographic research.

During this two-day programme, participants will engage in lectures on global health inequalities, socio-economic disparities in family formation, microsimulation methods for population projections, and hands-on exercises. Renowned experts in the field, Iñaki Permanyer, Anna Matysiak, Guillaume Marois, and Dilek Yildiz, will lead these sessions. You can find more details and application instructions on our website.
